GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED:
The South Florida Water Management District published a Notice of Rule Development on December 18, 2020, in the Florida Administrative Register, Vol. 46, No. 245, to update the "Environmental Resource Permit Applicant's Handbook Volume II: For Use within the Geographic Limits of the South Florida Water Management District" (Volume II). The rulemaking is in conjunction with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) as directed by section 5 of Chapter 2020-150, Laws of Florida, to update the stormwater design and operation regulations adopted under section 373.4131, F.S.
The District's proposed amendments to its Volume II include deleting criteria and updating references to the statewide Environmental Resource Permit Applicant's Handbook Volume I (Volume I), incorporated by reference in Rule 62-330.010, F.A.C., to conform to DEP’s amendments to Volume I.
A draft of the proposed rule language will be available on January 17, 2023 at https://www.sfwmd.gov/doing-business-with-us/rules.
