2024 Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan Update Stakeholder Meeting #2

GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED: 
The 5-year update to the Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan Update will assess current and projected water needs in the Lower Kissimmee Basin Planning Area through 2045. The Lower Kissimmee Basin Planning Area includes portions of Glades, Okeechobee, and Highlands counties (generally northwest of Lake Okeechobee) and the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Brighton Reservation. Meeting content will include an overview of the draft 2024 Lower Kissimmee Basin Plan Update and resource protection measures. The most recent Lower Kissimmee Basin Plan Update was approved in 2019.

One or more members of the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District may attend this forum. No Governing Board action will be taken.

The meeting will be recorded, and the link will be made available on the Lower Kissimmee Basin Plan Update webpage at SFWMD.gov/LKBWaterSupplyPlan at the conclusion of the meeting.
