GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED:
The South Florida Water Management District will celebrate the Old Tamiami Trail Roadbed Removal Project in Western Miami-Dade County. Members of the public are invited to this event. Comfortable closed-toe shoes and business casual attire are recommended.
The removal of the Old Tamiami Trail roadbed is a priority Everglades Restoration Project to restore the natural flow of clean freshwater south through the Central Everglades into Everglades National Park. This critical project is a component of the larger Central Everglades Planning Project and is projected to be complete in January 2022.
One or more members of the South Florida Water Management District Governing Board may be in attendance. No Governing Board action will be taken at this event.
