GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE DISCUSSED:
An Open House will take place to celebrate the completion of a new innovative water quality project now in operation to support Everglades restoration efforts north of Lake Okeechobee by removing nutrients before they enter Lake Okeechobee. The Lake Okeechobee S-191 Basin Surface Runoff Phosphorus Removal Project, will remove 3.5 metric tons of Total Phosphorus per year from the S-191 Basin within the Taylor Creek/Nubbin Slough subwatershed. Staff from the South Florida Water Management District will be available to answer questions. This Open House is in-person. No formal presentation will take place during this Open House.
