West Palm Beach, FL – The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) will be hosting a public meeting on the Everglades Agricultural Area Storage Reservoir project at 9 a.m. this Monday at District headquarters in West Palm Beach.
This is the fourth public meeting held by the District so far regarding the reservoir project.
The SFWMD presentations to the public will define the purpose and need for the southern reservoir, highlight the project's schedule, go over base condition modeling results and conduct scoping of initial project alternatives. Staff will continue to solicit feedback from interested parties and stakeholders. These meetings are consistent with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process which provides opportunities for the public to provide input related to the development of the project.
Monday's public meeting will also be webcast live on SFWMD's website at www.sfwmd.gov.
