West Palm Beach, FL – The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) will be hosting two public meetings on the Everglades Agricultural Area Storage Reservoir project. The meetings will be held in the evenings on Wed., Nov. 15 in Clewiston and Thu., Nov. 16 in West Palm Beach.
These will be the fifth and sixth public meetings held by the District so far regarding the reservoir project.
The SFWMD presentations to the public will define the purpose and need for the southern reservoir, highlight the project's schedule, plan formulation review and discuss initial modeling results. Staff will continue to solicit feedback from interested parties and stakeholders. These meetings are consistent with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process which provides opportunities for the public to provide input related to the development of the project.
