SFWMD Fully Prepared for Hurricane Dorian

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Executive Director Drew Bartlett provided an update on Hurricane Dorian at 3:30 p.m. today. Director Bartlett reported the South Florida regional flood protection system is fully prepared to handle heavy rainfall and encouraged South Floridians to be ready for Hurricane Dorian.
To ensure proper neighborhood drainage, the public is encouraged to secure all loose items near canals and ensure local ditches and drains are clear of debris. SFWMD-managed lands and navigation locks remain closed in anticipation of Hurricane Dorian.
