Sign up to participate and provide input at April 17 rulemaking workshop as part of District's ongoing effort to keep public and stakeholders engaged.
The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) encourages the public and stakeholders to participate in a public workshop as part of the rulemaking process to protect fish and wildlife in the Kissimmee River and Chain of Lakes, including the Upper Chain of Lakes, Headwaters Revitalization Lakes, and the Kissimmee River and floodplain.
This workshop is the third held by SFWMD since 2014 on water reservation rule development. At the April 17 public workshop, District staff will discuss currently proposed rule language and the technical and scientific basis of the water reservations.
Public and stakeholder engagement remains a critical component of all water management decisions made by SFWMD and keeping the public engaged is part of the District's core mission.
Following the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Department of Health to avoid large in-person gatherings and promote social distancing, this public workshop will be held online only. Click the link below to register:
