Central and Southern Florida (C&SF) Flood Resiliency Study (Section 203) at Broward Basins NEPA Scoping Meetings

The South Florida Water Management District (District) in partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Jacksonville District, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and Broward County, is advancing the Central and Southern Florida (C&SF) Flood Resiliency Study (Section 203) in Broward Basins, pursuant to Section 203 of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 1986.

Reminder: Submit Written Comments for the 2024 Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan Update

This is a reminder that the South Florida Water Management District (District) is encouraging our partners, stakeholders and the public to provide written comments on the DRAFT 2024 Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Plan Update by Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

The plan assesses current and projected water needs in the Lower Kissimmee Basin Water Supply Planning Area through 2045. The planning area includes portions of Glades, Okeechobee and Highlands counties (generally northwest of Lake Okeechobee) and the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Brighton Reservation.

Save the Date: Northern Everglades and Estuaries Protection Program (NEEPP) Workshop

The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (FDACS), “the Coordinating Agencies" are hosting a public workshop to share information and solicit public input on the Northern Everglades and Estuaries Protection Program (NEEPP).
