Everglades restoration and protection of our water resources are critical to our way of life in Florida. Did you know you can be a part of our important work and get a great looking license plate on your vehicle?
So far, in 2021...
- 11,410 Everglades River of Grass license plates have been purchased.
- 13,099 Indian River Lagoon license plates have been purchased.
Revenue from the Everglades Restoration license plate goes to the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) and directly supports Everglades restoration projects. The plate was first created in 1998 and features a Roseate Spoonbill in front of a mangrove with the words Everglades River of Grass across the bottom.
Revenue from the Indian River Lagoon license plate funds environmental projects and efforts to support the health of the Indian River Lagoon. The plate, created in the 1990s, features the iconic snook over seagrass.
