The South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services (FDACS), “the Coordinating Agencies" are hosting a public workshop to share information and solicit public input on the Northern Everglades and Estuaries Protection Program (NEEPP).
The purpose of NEEPP is to protect and restore surface water resources as well as achieve and maintain compliance with water quality standards in the Northern Everglades. The Northern Everglades watersheds include the Lake Okeechobee watershed and the Caloosahatchee and St. Lucie River watersheds.

Meeting Format: In-person
During this workshop, there will be an open house session for the public to discuss NEEPP-related topics of interest with the Coordinating Agencies. The open house will be held during the first 30 minutes of the workshop (9:00-9:30 a.m.) and last 90 minutes of the workshop (11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m.) where attendees will have the opportunity to view examples of successful NEEPP projects, connect with agency staff, and exchange valuable information with professionals involved in NEEPP program efforts. Presentations by the Coordinating Agencies will begin at 9:30 a.m.
